" Machiavelli's Gendered politics "

Hanna Fenichel Pitkin an American
political theorist.

Machiavelli gendered political through his explicit concerns are overwhelming political and public, his writing shows a persistent with manhood. His questioned what does be a man mean? in most people eyes it means being the provider the protector. people referred him to the fox. he was always in but not of the world of power. he was always behind the curtains with his cleverness, never to be seen, never to win the girl. this passage reminds me of how he owned his own cleverness and how he admired it for himself. He like that people saw him like this never doubt it for a second because being a fox to him was something he still accomplished by doing thing under people noses just like a sly fox.

In this video they talk about nice guys, why right because Machiavelli was the nice guy, he was the guy that wanted good and spoke the truth. not someone who lie and will kill not someone who doesn't believe by the people. that why the gendered politics that is about men. what is being a man? " Competent to take care of themselves without being dependent on anyone else." I like this quote because he believes this how it should be do it yourself and don't depend on anyone else to do it for you, it was nicely said. In this respect, roman stand in marked contrast to modern Florence where all is weakness and cowardice, privatization and corruption. A world of foxes and their victims is incapable of true manliness or virtuous citizenship for its member cannot trust each other and cannot genuinely subscribe to any standards or ideals. so basically, to sum this up this passage relates to everything he says about to be feared or to be loved, in this passage he talks about how you need basically the master examples like the animal and infants need to be fed by the mother or the master right. So, if you are the king you need to feed your people and make sure they are taken care but also don't let them take your freedom away.

This book is very much worth reading, the way he talks about different principles on how to rule. what we didn't know the prince was forced to do these things but as a man he was he decided to be the fox we all knew. He had many accomplishments and task before trying to get the crown he had so much learn about becoming a ruler. even though he never was one, but he learned how different each ruler was and I honestly like the quote he made, do you want a ruler who is loved or to be feared? basically stating do you want your king to be merciful or kind.
